Install SDD

Installing means putting the seven skill folders where your agent looks for skills. Claude Code has a plugin; every other agent uses the installer from a clone:

Terminal window
git clone https://github.com/monaccode/astromesh-sdd
cd astromesh-sdd
AgentInstall into your projectRun it
Claude Code/plugin marketplace add monaccode/astromesh-sdd
/plugin install astromesh-sdd@astromesh
/astromesh-sdd:sdd
Codex CLI./install.sh --target codex --dir ~/my-project$sdd
OpenCode./install.sh --target opencode --dir ~/my-projectask for the sdd skill
Kimi Code./install.sh --target kimi --dir ~/my-project/skill:sdd
Gemini CLI./install.sh --target gemini --dir ~/my-projectpicked up automatically
GitHub Copilot./install.sh --target copilot --dir ~/my-projectpicked up automatically
Anything else./install.sh --target agents-md --dir ~/my-projectreads AGENTS.md

--global installs for every project instead of one. Plain ./install.sh installs for every agent at once. On Windows, run pwsh -File .\install.ps1 with the same options (-Target, -Global, -Dir); it needs PowerShell 7, not the Windows PowerShell 5.1 that ships with Windows.

Paths were checked against each agent’s documentation on 2026-10-13; the install guide in the repository links the source for every one, and how to check the skills loaded in each agent.

OptionWhat it does
--project (default) / --globalInstall into the project at --dir (default: the current directory) or into your home directory
--linkSymlink to the clone instead of copying, so git pull updates the skills. Moving or deleting the clone breaks them, and the installer says so
--dry-runPrint what would change and change nothing
--initAlso create a commented .sdd/ settings folder. An existing .sdd/ is never touched

Running the installer again updates the skills in place. Your .sdd/ folder and everything in AGENTS.md outside the marked block are left alone; a symlinked AGENTS.md stays a symlink. If the block was edited by hand and lost one of its markers, the installer stops without touching the file and asks you to fix it.

  • Update: git pull in the clone and run the same command again (with --link, git pull alone is enough). Claude Code plugin: update it from /plugin.
  • Uninstall: delete the seven sdd* folders from the skills directory and the marked block from AGENTS.md. Claude Code plugin: /plugin uninstall astromesh-sdd@astromesh.
